School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES)

NDIS School Leaver Employment Supports helping young participants build skills and confidence for employment after school.

Early intervention and family support services for NDIS participants

About this service

School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) is an NDIS-funded support for Year 12 leavers designed to build skills and confidence for employment. SLES focuses on work readiness — not immediate job placement — through tailored activities that develop capacity over up to two years.

Able Aide delivers SLES that respects each participant's interests, strengths, and employment goals while building practical workplace skills.

Frequently asked questions

How long can I receive SLES?
SLES is typically funded for up to two years after leaving school, depending on your plan and progress toward employment goals.
Will SLES get me a job?
SLES builds work readiness and capacity. It is not a job placement service. At the end of SLES, participants often transition to Disability Employment Services (DES) for job search support.
Can schools refer students for SLES?
Yes. Schools, transition teachers, and support coordinators can refer to referrals@ableaide.com.au. The participant must have SLES funding in their NDIS plan.
